Same Same, but Different

I used to think I was growing around in circles—not really making any significant progress in my personal or professional growth. In my very infrequent journals, I have seen the same struggles over the same issues coming up over and over again. I often wondered if I just experiencing déjà vu or was I stuck in some sort of time trap that forced me to continue to deal with the same scenarios over and over again because I was so dense.

I came to realize that I am not really going around in circles so much as moving along in a spiral of growth. As they say in the street markets of Thailand, “Same same, but different.” Each time I have a similar experience I am growing a little more, getting a little deeper into the meaning of the lesson, building on my past experiences and gaining new insights. I guess that translates into growing older and (I hope) wiser.

Over the next few weeks I plan to share regular postings to a new blog,  MyLEAD360. addressing some of the practical issues faced by leaders and followers related to some of the lessons I am learning. It will be a discipline for me to keep growing, stay fresh and write regularly. I hope along the way you will find some thoughts worth pondering and discussing.

Pass the word and follow the journey at http://mylead360.blogspot.com/

  2. Larry, it also is very important that the leaders and followers listen, are truthful, and cooperate.
